Merdeka Bellz was commissioned by Foundation Tong Tong for their alternative Corona lockdown open air event. in eleven churches throughout the Netherlands a special churchbells concert was performed by nine churchbellplayers. Merdeka Bellz was part of the program under the title 'Freedom Bells'.

This album was released as a special edition CD at the 25th anniversary of the Gamelanhuis in Amsterdam.

We are an Amsterdam-based music ensemble playing Balinese ànd original compositions on our combination of Balinese gamelan kebyar style instruments with synthesizer, drums, guitar, violin and bass. We use musical style techniques from Java (Central/Sunda), contemporary western composition- and improvisation, jazzpop, progrock, mediaeval, folk etc.
